The next group of scales we will be working on are the NATURAL MINOR scale
- You can find the relative minor of a major by starting on the 6th note of the major. (i.e. C Majors relative minor is A minor. A is the 6th note of C Major)
- You can also lower the 3rd, 6th, & 7th notes of the major to find that major scales parallel Minor (i.e. lower the E, A, & B a half step to turn the C Major scale into a C minor Scale).
Your First Minor Scales to work on are:
- The relative minor to: Bb, Eb, F, & C Major Scales.
- G, C, D, and A Natural Minor (These are the relative minors)
