Daily Vocal Exercises
It's important to keep your voice up and working. Please follow the video below and do this EVERY DAY this week!
Virtual Choir Project
We are finishing up our virtual choir project this week. Below you will see the information on how to complete the project.
The above video goes over the recording process, tips and tricks, and how to submit.
Based on listening to your check in videos, here is some general feedback for EVERYONE!!
This list will be a part of the final product. If you do not meet everything, I will ask you to do it again.
-The song MUST be memorized. Some of you are buried in your scores.
-When recording, you must be in good lighting. Bright, well lit room or even outside.
-Try to find a space with a white or neutral background. A messy bed in the background does not make an interesting space to look at.
-Locate a quiet place. I can't tell you haw many videos had barking dogs, talking or screaming siblings, or other noise.
-You must REALLY sing. Many of you were holding back and submitting poor quality because you were hesitant to sing out by yourself.
How to record? You need two devices.
-Device #1 - (phone, laptop, etc.) with headphones to listen to and stay with the track.
-Device #2 - (iPad) Used to record yourself. Set it up to see your torso.
Check out these two recent virtual choirs. Check out the following things:
-What are they doing in their videos? How are they "preforming?"
-What is in the background?
-What is the angle of the recording?
-How are the singing? Are they singing tentative?
Above are the tracks that will play in your ear while you record. There is a track for each voice part. You may want to download them onto your device so you do not need internet to play them.
-You must use the track while you record. That is the ONLY way we stay together.
-Stay with the track. Don't rush or drag.
