eLearning Day Two!!!
Day two is all about rhythm. One of the best ways a musician can improve their time and rhythm is by working on performing on the drum set.
Follow the link below and watch the videos (Don't forget to play along with the video!). Really dig in and enjoy it. The drum set can be super fun to play. Start slow and break down the drum pattern by each subdivision. Identify what is happening on each part of the measure. When your ready submit a video of you performing one of the drum beats from the groove library. If this is your first time playing drum set, choose the basic backbeat or four on the floor. If you have played drums in the past, choose something more difficult! Have fun!!!!
Happy 1st eLearning Day!!!
Make sure to submit your assignments through Showbie (Your code is L2L4F)
Assignment Option #1- Quality Plus Excerpt
Submit a video of you performing (with a metronome) measures 72-end (2nd ending). You choose the tempo as long as it is faster than half note = 75 (Remember the song is in cut time so each metronome click is Beats 1 and 3).
Assignment Option #2- Rhythm Performance
Write in the counts and circles for first three lines of the linked sheet. After you write in the counts, count (out loud) and clap the rhythm of the first two lines. Make sure you use a metronome set to at least quarter note = 120.
